Love this album. Porter Wagoner had many sides. He is often remembered for his showmanship and humor at the Grand Ole Opry and on his TV show that ran for 20 years. Many of his albums are much darker dealing with addictions, depression and betrayal. This album is more accessible with a good mix of uptempo songs like Rocky Top and The World Needs A Washin' and slow ones like Sing Me Back Home and Sorrow Overtakes the Wine. Plenty of fiddle and steel guitar that you would hear on his show too.
