It’s a shame that the members of The Church claim to dislike this album. Not only is this the band’s best album, it’s one of the best albums ever recorded. On Gold Afternoon Fix, the band has fully come into their own, but does not yet display any of the excesses of their later work. The songwriting is spectacular, the lyrics are articulate and heartfelt, the production is pristine, and the vocal and musical performances are nearly perfect. This is some awesome music!

Can't beleive it got overlooked.

Truly excellent music on this album. Just as good as Starfish or Priest = Aura.
