This fantastic album was just released on vinyl for Record Store Day and just sounds awesome!
Originally slated for release in 1997, it was bundled instead with shipments of certain versions of the 3 CD Crystal Ball compilation album in 1998.
It was mainly acoustic and the only thing really like it in Prince’s catalog until perhaps the One Nite Alone (Solo Piano & Voice) album, that was bundled with the One Nite Alone live box set in 2002… both albums may not have made an impact if released separately at the time, but have definitely stood the test of time as examples of Prince’s brilliance at a time when the mainstream had lost interest in him.
Now, Dear Mr. Man running the Prince Estate releases… can we get his final concert?!!
