i have been an ardent ‘i hate country’ guy my whole life but orville’s voice and music is absolutely phenomenal. i am rapidly becoming a die hard orville peck fan and i cannot wait to see where his music career takes him. i can’t wait to see him perform live!

Rarely does an artist stir my soul and excite my imagination the way Orville Peck does. Powerful voice and provocative lyrics. Pony is an amazing journey. There are so many layers and interpretations. Some are gushing sexuality before artistry. This is an seminal album. People will look back at this the way people look at early kd Lang.

...I loved this album. I was starting to see Orville Peck everywhere on my social media friends’ feeds and I just avoided listening because I hate country music but then someone described him as “gay cowboy Lana Del Rey” and I knew I had to give him a chance. Great music and great lyrics. Definitely looking forward to whatever he puts out next.
  • Honestly Some of the Best Country I’ve Heard This Year

This music is truly great. Some of the songs, not many but some, didn’t catch my attention but they’re still good. However, “Big Sky” and “RosesAre Falling” had me sold, along with most of the rest of this album’s tracks. If you notice, most of the one star / two star reviews are from obvious homophobes, so don’t take the “four star average” into account; this album is every bit of five stars, and I absolutely cannot wait for Orville’s future masterpieces.

Uhhgg I love him so much. This is a terrific album. I’ve never really liked country music, even when it had an alternative twist to it, but this album just has such a unique and amazing vibe to it. Definitely worth listening to!!!!💘🤠💘

Finally newer outlaw country. Love it. Been waiting for it. Reminds me of a darker Roy Orbison.
