Still writing from the heart ❤️. All the best songs start out this way, the man and his guitar. Letting us see a glimpse into his soul, just one more time ! Thanks for a lifetime of music Gordon. God Bless you always !

Gordon lightfoot is a legend in his own time. This man is dearly loved by not only his native Canada but the rest of the world as well. He has been giving us his thoughts put to music for a solid six decades now and this (Solo) his latest effort is as solid as they come, if you don’t believe me just listen to the track E-motion , Better off, Return into dust, The laughter that we seek or any other for that matter. A very well crafted release. As you listen, these songs will take you on a journey of all Gordon’s years and after I made it to the track titled “Dreamdrift” one thing was made perfectly clear by Mr. Lightfoot And that is that this album clearly shows his listening public that although he has grown older these songs let you know that it’s all a natural process and he pulls it all together so well. A painter passing through making sure his art is remembered for all time. The world loves you Gordon and this album makes one point very clear and that is that he loves us all back.

The more I listen to this album, the better it gets. Just Gorden and his guitar. It’s worth buying if you are a fan!
  • Gord before his voice was completely gone

If you are a longtime Lightfoot fan, as I am, it is almost painful to listen to the 80+ year old Gord try to carry a tune when you remember how pure his voice was in the 60s and 70s. That said, this new album of material he wrote and played acoustically back in his pre-aneurism days is like wrapping up in a favorite old blanket. You still can't beat Lightfoot the lyricist and these are a stripped-down Gord that a true fan can certainly appreciate.

I have been a fan since the ‘70s. Gordy never disappoints. This album is vintage Lightfoot. Honestly, can’t tell he’s in his 80s. Always love his voice, lyrics, and music. Another great album!
  • It's A Keeper

Long awaited! I've listened to the whole thing about 6 or 7 times now, and it is a keeper! No, all his albums are keepers, but this one is no exception. I thought it was interesting to learn that he had written these before his aortic aneurism. But I guess he still might have plenty of new songs within him to come out of him if he wants to? But what do I know? I guess as fans we are grateful for any songs that find their way to us from any favorite artist. This album reminds me of what Dylan said about Woody Guthrie - His songs could tell you how to think, how to live. Some standouts - Better Off, Do You Walk Do You Talk, Just a Little Bit, Easy Flo, The Laughter We Seek, Why Not Give it a Try.

Gordon Lightfoot is one the top ten songwriters in music history. Amazing depth & substance. This guy is Carole King, Willie Nelson, and Bob Dylan all rolled into a Bowie knife. Light a fire, pour the whiskey, hold hands and listen all night.

Have been waiting for this album. Good first song and waiting to hear what he calls his favorite song on this album, Better Off. I have been thinking of my friends who have passed on and this is kind of like having a conversation with them. Thanks for all your work Gordon Lightfoot. Well Done!
