In the original viewing, I was dancing and really felt this song. I didn't like the remake as soon as I heard it due to the fact that it lost the 808's it originally had. In this final version, they took out the 808's (for more normal bass) and the heavy, bass matching vocals (for lighter back vocals and Fonsi's lead) that gave it that POP. As a DJ, what makes a club song pop is that bass. The back vocals was the secret ingredient that made the entire song and it's now gone. It went from demanding me to dance to just telling me what to do. Meh! Good song. Not great.

Dyson's song would have been a much better choice than this! In fact, the original version was better than this version as it doesn't give us anything new.
