If you bought this album solely for the Blue Jean Baby “Tiny Dancer”, then you’re missing out on an magnificent album. Of course, 50 years have passed since this album’s beautiful release, and being a die hard Elton fan myself, this album is worth every single cent. Aside from the beautiful ballad of the L.A. Lady, you have such powerful achievements from Taupin’s incredible lyrics and Elton’s mind-blowing music, achievements such as Levon, Indian Sunset, and my personal favorite, All the Nasties, an emotional number that’ll make you shout OH MY SOUL! But, you also got great ones such as Holiday Inn, The titular glimpse of the quote unquote Madman across the Water, and the Amazing Grace known as Razor Face. In this marvelous new edition, you got a really neat, and in my defense, silly new song Rock Me when He’s Gone. (Why i call it silly? Cause you got a bunch of train choo choos and laughable slide whistles, but that’s just me.) This new edition is like i mentioned earlier, worth every single cent. Hold it closer, Tiny Dancer, and catch another glimpse of this Almighty gem that is of course, Madman across the Water!
