Midnights is great but the sales strategy is frustrating enough to subtract an entire star from the overall product. And I’ve been a loyal Swiftie since day one. Here’s my gripe: I still purchase individual albums because I want to own the music I love without having to send someone a monthly payment into perpetuity (I’ll pass on the streaming platforms). I purchased Midnights through iTunes and had no idea there was an album version with an “iTunes exclusive” track— there was no marketing or messaging around this at all. I didn’t even see it in the options when I looked up the Album. Then, there was also the 3am edition drop. For those in the streaming camp, that’s great. For me, I have to buy a whole separate album (with 13 duplicate songs) if I want to even hear the rest. I was already planning to buy a physical copy of the Target exclusive, so that’s 3 albums total I’d have to purchase to get all the tracks. People who preordered or purchased Midnights from iTunes right when it came out should’ve at least been given the option to upgrade/complete their album. Seems like Taylor or the sales people didn’t think about us though. All they saw was dollar signs. $$$

Taylor’s best album yet. She stuns with every magnificently written song. No skips on this album! Each song takes you into a different world where you immerse yourself in the music and pieces of your past experiences.

This version just includes an 8 second clip of Taylor talking. I don’t understand why this was put out…

Don’t even need to hear it. It’s Taylor Swift it’s good!

midnights is taylor on autopilot. reputation and lover were great albums, but b-sides to those projects were not necessary…

This album isn’t out yet. I don’t care. It’s going to be great.
