Great Album

First Album I heard by Judah and the Lion. Saw them at Red Rocks with NEEDTOBREATHE! Absolutely loved them and this album. I find it a bit off putting that the “Christian” fans are probably the most judgmental here. I love my Christian background and live to praise God, but people, relax, it’s music. Was well written music at that. Keep up the good work!
Best yet, vulnerable and yes inspiring

Reading some of the negative reviews and I just don’t get them. Saw them in MT recently and they are amazing live. Album is full of amazing songs and poignant lyrics. A truly remarkable album I’ve had on repeat since it came out. Well done boys.

We all make mistakes, just like releasing this album was a huge mistake. Hope you can come up with a better one quick!
Raw & Real

The album is an anthem for those who have walked through through grief and loss, whether a divorce and healing or something else. It’s raw and yes there are cuss words and references to drugs and alcohol. It’s honest and unapologetic. It doesn’t try to pretty up what are very heavy things. The songs display vulnerability, hopelessness, optimism, indifference, healing. It’s the kind of album that needs to be listened to from beginning to end. It won’t be for everyone but for those who can relate and understand what it’s like to be in the place from which it is written, it is everything. Not enough words for how much I love this album.

I have been a J&TL fan for 10 years. With each album I truly find something beautiful. Yes he uses some cuss words, don’t we all? I honestly think it feels a bit more real. Artists poor themselves into their work. I don’t hear him bashing his ex wife, I hear him going through so many different emotions at one of the most difficult times in his life. Not to mention he talks about his flaws too. This album has probably been in the works for the past 2 years so we of course hear it after some things have been worked through. You start to hear the lightness and hope as you get further into it. Life is hard, most of us can relate and we continue to evolve every single day. I love this, thank you Judah!
Which Judah

Judah 7+3 or This? Not sure how you can be so sure of purpose in one album and completely lost and out of touch with true pain process in the next . I’ll buy to keep his lights on and come back w the good stuff that gives people hope. Like he has done before .
Love!

I have no idea where Judah is in his faith or what has happened in his personal life. I do however know that life is a REAL experience and i appreciate the vulnerability and realness in this album. If you are listening just for music, I think you are missing their effort here. Please be careful questioning who he is just because he isn't creating cookie-cutter albums that pretend that everything is always a soccer mom klove kinda day.
