Can’t stop listening!!! My favorites are Bouquet, Pretty, and Late to Bloom💐🩵

I see a lot of people complaining about Gwen changing and wanting the old Gwen back, but they don’t see the big picture. For a while, Gwen has basically been surrounding the point that she is still the same Gwen, but she has just grown up and matured. That’s what this album does as well. She grows after facing heart break and finds a new love, and she writes that love into her music, which was inspired not by country, but by 70s Yacht Rock. This is Gwen Stefani’s sound. It’s still the same Gwen, and she is still following by her roots of where she came from when she joined No Doubt, making the music she likes. That’s always been her whole thing. Even when she was with No Doubt, the whole thing was them making the music they liked, and she carried that on when she separated, and is making music that she likes. This is perfectly demonstrated in this album as she has said that this kind of rock pop is what she would listen to before ska and punk entered her life. It’s just Gwen being Gwen and making the music that she loves. This album is awesome, and it perfectly captures how she has grown. The live band and Yacht Rock mixture will give you a feel of her No Doubt days, while she also mixes in her solo work of mainstream pop. I love every song on this album, and if you don’t take it like if it’s a personal attack, then you will love this album as well. It’s been on repeat for me, and I am proud to say I am still a Gwen fan AND No Doubt fan even though they do tend to be on separate ends of the music spectrum. Go on and listen to this album and your ears will thank you. Seriously.

While I think the song writing is good, Gwen’s voice is okay, and her voice and this genre of music don’t blend well. She does better with trendy pop songs like she use to sing.. these balads showcase her voice, and at best her mediocre vocals don’t do her talent justice. These songs make it sound like she’s straining to sing some of them. Same themes throughout.. one of her songs plays similiar to Blake Shelton I’ll name the dogs , which kind of takes away from this song.. the album isn’t bad, but it’s not something I would listen to over and over. I hope she got it all out her system on this album and goes back to her funky pop days.

I am a fan, and lyrically its ok, but these songs aren’t catchy enough for me

She is a beating heart and this album reflects that. This is the life, and songs about that life, I wanted her to have.

This album is amazing! Marigold, somebody else’s, and pretty are my favorite tracks so far from the album.

Just horrible! I like a couple songs by No Doubt but this is just terrible bubblegum pop music!

She really makes me wanna COMMMMEEEE 😜

What to say that I was instantly impressed really enjoying this album and the whole vibe. I really hope people give this album the props it deserves !
