I lived in LA for 12 years in the 60 and 70s. I saw this movie when it was first out. The first show when it opened in Hollywood. I had goose bumps then and today I had the same bumps come out. again! "Love with All the Trimmings" is the best. If you have note seen it, the dress is worth the cost of the movie! I really miss Hollywood!
Loved it

The original Broadway Cast album is still the one to get. Barbara Harris cannot be matched. The movie soundtrack is very slight, and the movie rather dull. Too bad they cut nearly half the wonderful songs.

the i-Tune reviewer calls Yves Montand's voice and command of English suspect - If , as I do, you listen to his voice and how carefully he cradles each word and phrase, you would see he is a master of his art - indeed it's almost as if he is making love to each lyric as he sings. And when he sings in French, he is romance itself - capturing your heart and the very essence of love. Together, Streisand and Montand complement eachother perfectly.
Another Strong Soundtrack

For Barbra's fifteenth (!) lp and her last of her first decade, Barbra delivered another fine soundtrack to one of the last of the big budget musicals to be filmed. The opening track "Hurry! It's Lovely Up Here" is a playful song song with the opening line "Hey Bud's Below" singing to flowers ends with a big climax, the title song "On A Clear Day" is just a master class in singing in full voice from start to finish and the song is reprised a few times. The bulk of the material is cutesy but not cheesy, stick to the Barbra sung songs though. This cd was released in the early eighties on a Sony budget label poorly mastered, re-released remastered in 1993, the version here.
AWESOME!

One of the best "happy feel-good" movies of the decace. Vincent Minelli is a genius. Great for the whole family!
Loved it.

Classic Streisand. Brings back nostalgic memories of a film that bombed. I loved it!
