  • Doesn't Get Better Than This

    By cosmiccath
October Project was one of the finest rock/pop bands ever recorded. Fahl's voice has been compared to Grace Slick, but she is really one of the finest, most flexible female volcaists working in any pop field. At her soaring best, she'll cause tingles to race up and down your spine. Few singers have this power or emotive force in thier music. I've seen her live in a small setting sining and accompanying herself on acoustic guitar. How any woman can sound as big as she does - with no tricks - is stunning. October Project is how rock music SHOULD have evolved. Just Goth enough, just jazzy enough, with beautiful haunting harmonies and top notch instrumental backing. It simply doesn't get better than this! Octoper Project ranks in the top 5 fusion rock bandsin the last 50 years. Elixir for the heart and mind.
  • One of the best Cd's I ever bought!

So happy to find this gem on itunes. This group is not pop, rock or even indie. They have no contemporary but the music goes from chill, love songs and blues soul new age. True artists singing beautiful songs!
  • Haunting & Moving

The songs ( bury my lovely & return to me ) Have moved me so deeply and emotionally it's hard to explain. I have no rational explanation why these songs move me so much. But there it is, they do. I love the voice. This music calls to my soul.
  • Overlooked gem

No justice at all in the music business. These folks are incredibly talented, and the melodies are gorgeous. This is one heckuva album, worth a listen. Easily 5 stars.
  • To Call It Crap Would Be A Compliment

Pretentious claptrap is more like it.
  • EXCELLENT

Wow what a great band, the band members wrote songs that were custom fit to Mary's voice. This band would of been big if they stayed together. I saw them live twice and they were awesome. I miss them so much, they were like a new and improved Fleetwood Mac
  • Fantastic! I'm in love with your song Return To Me

"The female vocals of October Project are joined with guitar, B-3, and light percussion. The ballad-esque tune possesses a European infusion of Celtic and Scottish arrangements. However, the result is far-reaching and ideal for any month of the year" Beautiful description of what that song is al about!
  • Timeless

Let's just say that this band sits along side my Joni Mitchell albums...need I say more.
  • Lose the Hero

Mary Fahl has the voice of an angel. A terrific set of tunes, except for Be My Hero. Download the CD and then delete the last cut. This 1993 effort will quickly become one of your favorites. The 1995 release "Falling Farther In is worth a good listen too!
  • Mary Fahl's Voice is Exquisite

It has been over 10 years since I first heard this 'album'. Her voice haunted me then as it still does now. This is some magical music!
