It may not have the frenetic pace of Mahavishnu Orchestra albums, but this is probably John's best solo work overall. VERY listenable even for jazz fans that turn their noses up to fusion. Sounds like more fun than work and that sense of pleasure runs throughout this must have McLaughlin masterpiece.

Any McLaughlin fan should have this album. Astounding playing by all musicians... Recorded around the time of electric dreams this is another masterpiece from the master... Enjoy!

I was SO happy to find this album on itunes! I owned the original release on vinyl and just hearing the great tunes brings back fond memories. For any fusion or jazz-rock fan, I'm sure you will love this album ... give it a listen.
