NICE! Next to Live At Leeds by the almighty Who, perhaps the greatest live album ever, God, that version of Light My Fire is amazing! Must Have for any hardcore Doors collector, or casual fan! As an added treat for the hardcore fans, Ray (Organist) sings some of the songs!
  • The Best Live Offering From The Doors

If you are a fan of The Doors' Live Music then for the record this is defenitly THE best live album from them. The sound quality is quite possibly the best that I've ever heard from any live recording ever made. I don't think the God of Music could choose a better set list than this one. The band is tight, aggressive, and playing with all their heart. Jim, well let's just say that although they say he was at his worst with his demons during 1970, this does not reflect it. His singing is just amazing on this record. BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • A true testament to the tremendous voice of Jim Morrison

Although this album is musically brilliant, with the band tight and in prime form, the real revelation on "Live In Detroit" is the voice of Jim Morrison. He sings with a precision and easy energy that eclipses many of the earlier recordings available of The Doors in concert. If you are a fan of The Doors, do yourself a favor, and add this to your collection.

This album is very very powerful. This live version of "the end" is in my opinion the best ever recorded. Lyrically and musically it just flows beautifully. These guys pored their heart and souls into making music sound like this and can not be beat. This is real music people. Great album.

this is allegedly the longest show the doors ever played. morrison played until he could no longer stand. just a nice bit of trivia. oh and it's still more for a true doors fan, because their live works are typically very loose and dry as opposed to their well-composed studio records. but some really great versions that offer a new, extremely raw view of the band are definitely break on through, backdoor man, (totally bada** intro riff) you make me real and maybe a few others.
