The Art of the Fugue

I listened to this for the first time in that twilight state, right before sleep. My ears started hearing the sound as strings instead of brass. That's how smooth the Canadian Brass interpreted the work of Bach. Even something as windy as this piece, which must have been challenging to realize with breathing human beings as opposed to an organ or piano. They stayed true to the original keys of the variations, even though it brought the individual parts into a high range of the instrument. A great companion for any student of Art of the Fugue (like me) who wants to read the music while the musicians perform.
