This album is amazing from beginning to end. Great to listen to in the car, while working, late at night, or any other time and place. Every single song is worth listening to again and again, from the short "Intermission" to the epic "Starscapes." More than worth the money.
Post rock that is beautiful and driving

Post-rock, shoegaze genre. I use those terms only to classify the music in a general sense. This band has developed a very special and singular style within the genre. They remind me of Saxon Shore, Bitcrush, Ulrich Schnauss, and Explosions in the Sky---all groups within the shoegaze/post-rock genre, but who have distinct sounds. American Dollar shares qualities with all those bands, but has a truly unique flavor, and not just unique... it's darn good. The production value is crisp, the guitars, percussion, piano all sound authentic (no cheap drum machines) and have been mixed wonderfully. The best part is the artistry that makes this music stand above other bands in the same genre. Absoluetly beautiful melodies layered over powerful guitar builds, percussion that makes you bob your head, impressive use of multile instruments (not just guitars). My first American Dollar release--I'm totally impressed with the high quality of music.
Pure genius.

Wow, how come I'm only the third person to write a review. These guys make some amazing melodic music. If you're a fan of post-rock bands such as Hammock, Stars of the Lid, Helios and The Album Leaf, then buy this today. Not just the compositions, the mix and the production of this album is amazng.
Yet another transcendent album

The American Dollar continuously pushes the envelope on the way music interacts with our minds. This whole album continually changes emotion with intent and aims at something greater. The levels of complexity somehow make you realize that simple is beautiful. A true piece of art
