My dad played this when I was a little girl. It is a good album. My favorite songs are Midnight Motion, Sade, and Champagne.

Love this album my mom would play it when I was a little girl. If you close your eyes you can hear words to some of the tracks

Great 'statement' album in my opinion, intentionally or not, demonstating that he was bigger than Jeff Lorber Fusion's sax player. I can hardly believe this was 30 years ago. I loved this thing, from the album-esque sound of ESTHER to CHAMPAGNE's funk to the speed of SLIP OF THE TONGUE.
We all grow up eventually.

I had this record when I was in college....and loved it. When I listen to it now, I ask myself, 'What in the world was I thinking??'
Not the Original

After the success of "Songbird," which was not originally the first track, Kenny remastered the album for the worse, increasing his presence on "Don't Make Me Wait For Love" by filling every pause with a trill from his sax.
The first step in his soul-selling transformation from respected jazz musician into Michael Bolton's wingman.
smooth jazz of the 80's

Best Kenny G Album ... BUT!

This is Kenny G's 4th album, and many would argue that it is his finest.
Why am I giving it only 4 stars? Simply because it is a partial album, and depending on how you regard the the original 1986 release, its missing either one or two tracks: "Esther" is the most glaring omission, the other missing track is "And You Know That" - that track is no longer available, not even on the current physical releases of the album?
