Years ago this was my introduction to k.d. lang. I friend was returning cds and I asked to listen to some before he brought them back. I bought this one on the cheap. What a great recording through and through - vocals, musicianship, production. This one stands the test of time. Buy it. You won't regret it. Displays the direction I wish more "country" music would take, talent notwithstanding. Don't let the cover mislead you into thinking this is the usual country churn. This is lang stretching out and showing her command of the form. This is great music by any standard!
