After the success of their self-titled debut, Little Dragon has followed it up with a superb sophomore release. The vibe and feel is different than the first album, but who wants to hear the same thing twice? Get this album-- you won't regret it.
GO, Little Dragon Go!!!

This record is the JAM! The entire thing is drenched in soul. Not your traditional soul, more the type you never knew was possible. The singer sounds like the love child of Simon Le Bon and Chaka Khan. The band is dynamic and tight. Utilizing "Temperton-Esk" synth tones, their songs turn your emotions euphoric and coming back for more. You may have to spin this a few times, I did, but once you hear the magic, you will be glad you took the chance. Well done, Little Dragon.
Nothing like the first

There is nothing like the FIRST TIME-- That is to be said for little dragon as well. I loveedd the first album it was my addiction of late 07' early08'. I will say that this is a good album given no biast to the first- These tracks are NICE but give no justice to Yuki's beautiful strong voice... her tone is the THICK to all of their music and can not BE with out her blowin out her lungs..in alow key kind of way. These song sound as if she is being echoed or drowned out some how..no good for the effect she can have on the senses!!
I will still drag myself out of the house to catch a LD show anytime! ALL LOVE> plus im still passing the word on the first album ..so so what if this one is not a 10!!
Not a sophomore slump.

I won't deny that this is a very good and solid album, however, it is so different from their first album and I am not too sure if I like that. This one is much more 80s/synth/electronic and somewhat lacks a bit of soul as opposed to the previous album- it was eclectic, and Yukimi's soulful voice was much more prominent.

This album is so incredible, halfway through i asked myself, "there's still songs left?!" Love it when that happens. (and it doesn't happen often!) Really nice for 2009.

This album is full of amazing songs both upbeat and chill. Yukimi Nagano's vocals are fantastic and the beats are top notch, experimental but not abrasive. Do yourself a favor and buy this album. You won't regret it.

second review, yeah that's right. I have to admit, the very first listen, i was drawn in, but after listening to it, I love it. At first i thought the first album was better, and now I think the progression is noticeably better, yet not by much. turn it up in your car or on your stereo. A great release for 2009!

Dope beats. Much more polished then their spectacular debut, less organic & more spacey. I think she & the band is evlovling rather nicely....
