I call myself a fan and didn't even know about this one! Admittedly I've been slippin'. Seeing this made my heart start to race. As usual, thanks Donell Jones for giving me something to listen to. No auto tune, no gimmicks just pure R&B.
  • An Artist Just Beginning To Hit is Stride.....is Now Lost

LaFace was with Donell from jumpstreet. But unfortunately he proved to be a casualty in the Sony BMG merger as Jive didn't know what to do with him. At least at LaFace/Arista, he had carved out a niche for himself. An earlier poster asks where is "The Way U Make Me Feel". I agree. That happens to my favorite Donell Jones song. But since this album is not on LaFace, it is possible he no longer owns the rights to put it on another album. I recall that it was on an NFL compilation album and that may be why it isn't here. Also, taking an artist to task for not giving enough tracks? Really? I thought an artist was supposed to deliver the album they want to and NOT just give fill in tracks? Where did this generation of music lovers learn to equate quantity with quality. Some of the best albums clock in under 40 minutes.

It saddens me that this industry constantly let's true talent slip thru the cracks and push the garbage to the forefront. Mr Jones is clearly a victim of politics and conglomeration. He got lost in the shuffle when LaFace folded then Arista then Jive merging with Sony. Thank God for Itunes

This album is Great! People This album is "unheard songs of the past" meaning it consist of old-school raw R&B from Late 90's to early 2004 (CLASSICAL MUSIC STILL)...If you dont buy this album your definetly missing out on Mr. Jones great catalog of music. This is not his Official album. Also, the person claiming Marry Me and Assville is already on one of his albums sorry YOUR WRONG. Never was on any of his albums check your info, cuz I know them all. It was only leaked on some sites. Just because u heard it before dosent mean every Donell jones listener have. Cant wait for the Offical 2010 album ! My favorites are Forever, Groove on,Superman, Marry Me,Bad Boy, Free and Reggae Remix so that more than half the album so COP IT..U WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Wow! DJ another great album. You always deliver (like the postman). LOL! I wish Lovin' U could have been added on this album, but you have aleady explained why it could not be added. Feels so good to hear real R&B from such a talented, creative artist! Not to mention you are so intuned to your fans which goes along way with me. Luv you tons...CeeCee2121

  • Where's 'Waited Too Long' ??????

Donell Jones' You Tube page said that 'Waited Too Long' is a track on this CD. It's a cool track, but unfortunately, somebody has dropped the ball AGAIN. I really wanted to support Donell, but ripping the track from You Tube is my only option.
