One of the more chill Hip-Hop albums out there! Recently got it on LP, and I must say for all true fans of Hip-Hop, this has to be in your collection.

Between songs like "DooWhop" and "Jesus" or instrumenta's like "Knowledge", this album is great! I can appreciate that he's not competing to be in the run with rappers like Lil Wayne, Kanye West, or Trey Songz (he fell off)..just to name a few.
Blu is in a category by himself. Sounds like himself. Doesnt sound like any other rapper out there with their trash rap. He continues to make music exactly what its about; life, passion, creativity, and being a honest artist. Not hoes, how big your friend is, how many girls you can smash, and how loud they're screaming your name in bed. Poetry in motion. Different instruments and voice overs to bring out the sound. 5 stars.
absurdly pure obscurity

Every day my dude Blu gets weirder and weirder. Sometimes I think how I would LOVE to hear another album with a similar flavor as that of Below The Heavens. Other times I'm glad he has the balls to do some off the wall crazy stuff. But mostly I'm just glad there's somebody out there like him, with the talent and the skill and the name recognition, representing his fellow weirdos, soul freaks and hip hop junkies. This album is what it is. If you got here by mistake, you prolly won't like this. If you came here looking for a nice big bowl of Blu soup, look no further. On a side note, Doo Whop should be heard by everyone, not just Blu fans. Cuz I play that jawnt for my people who know nothing of underground hip hop aside from what I provide, and they bang that joint regularly. So bamm, bang, boom!
