  • Great LA Skyline Vibe : captured the City!

smooth, refined, not overly forced... Easy come, easy go - party all night long. Now, if all that junk Miami, NYC dance could be a little more refined and perfected, but theres only one LA baby.. Nice cadence and bass. Its not Skillrex or dubstep, but its all the good elements from the global platforms... Apple ruins it once again, with over pricing.

  • Agreed that $20 is steep

A State of Trance 2012 was priced less than this. Nothing against Armada. With music piracy going on, I can see why they would do this. I gladly paid it to support the artist. It's just ashame that other people ruin it for everyone else.
  • Why is this $20?

I have bought every Markus Schulz compilation since he started doing them and none of them was priced this much on release. I would see if each track was the full version but they are just the edits from the mix. Going to wait to buy this for now, hoping to see a price decrease down to $14 where it should be.
  • Good album, but not his best

I love Markus Schulz, and some of his earlier compilations (especially Las Vegas '10) remain on my top ten list of trance/house albums, so I was super excited to get this one. After listening to both continuous mixes, I'm not as impressed. There are a couple of good songs (A Man With Two Names is just breathtaking, Red Violin is pretty cool, and Mind Gamer is a TRIP) but listening to the rest back to back, I realized that most of the songs sound REALLY similar, with similar sounds and song structures, and they unfortunately kind of blur together... not something I noticed with his previous albums. Not a bad album at all, but definitely not his best.

Markus did it again, dude is the best when it comes to this style of music. Very dark and melodic with huge bass lines. Markus is simply the best and repping LA is icing on the cake.

Another masterpiece of Trance. Very dark, very upbeat.... very LA! Markus Schulz has capture the trance scene very well with the mixture of melodic trance that has evolve in the past years with the growth of EDM in the United States. LA 12 brings deep bass, massive build ups and drops that can steer the whole club around. From a mellow intro to a massive build up with the track "SHAMBALLA" into "HYPERFOCUS" take you deep into the dark ends of the rabbit hole and unicorn slaying into a massive CD 2 with "AVALON" which will be the place where Markus Schulz will introduce his album to the city he dedicated and its also the place where Markus has played massive sets ranging between 4 hours up to 8 1/2 hours. This album is very dark trance. My Favorite tracks so far : "MIND GAMER" "SHAMBALLA" "SHOCKING BLUE" and "CITY OF ANGELS"
