I've never heard thease works before. Why aren't more american orchestra's playing this stuff, it sounds like they would just eat it up! Track #5 is by far the best track on the CD, its short, and I can just hear it for the intro for a holiday special on television. Very triumphant! Reminds me of what it would be like if John Williams (of Star Wars fame) wrote a entire Christmas work, but even better than that. Definatly get this one folks, you listen to it over and over again!

I purchased this album in 2004 and now in 2005 it is on the short list of my favorite Christmas albums. The energy and orchestrations perfectly capture the Christmas spirit. The Naxos label comes through yet again.

To me this is the beauty of Christmas.Beautiful with qualities of classical music, but alas it's not available!
