Welcome back Sharleen Spiteri & TEXAS!

Wow, it's been 8 years, two Sharleen solo projects and a brain aneurysm (guitarist Ally McErlaine) since we last heard from Scotland's finest Alternative Pop outfit on 2005's "Red Book". So, what's changed? Absolutely nothing...thankfully! The sound is still perfectly produced, smartly written, flawless musicianship and that voice. And that voice of Sharleen Spiteri's just gets better; richer, warmer, deeper. It remains a mystery why TEXAS never broke in the US, but charts no longer matter and Europe has always had better taste in music that we Yanks anyhow. So, what of "The Conversation"? It's exactly what any TEXAS fan would want. Just buy it already!

Excellent. One of Rock's best voices. Great musicianship.
Another Excellent Album

One of Texas' great strengths is there willingness to experiment, and their ability to produce a an excellent album regardless of the style(s). 'The Conversation' is another example; track to track its a fascinating journey closer in sound to their earliest albums, but yet not... Highly recomended.

Texas continues to be a great band and if the first single is any indication of what the rest if the CD has in store this will be a great old school effort. Can't wait. (Saw these guys back in 1990 at Rocky Mountain Records in Boulder so I am a long time very biased fan).
