I am downloading this album as I write this review. So technically I guess it's not really a review. But if previews can make me smile like these previews do...then it's a good day! Totally pumped to listen to this album in the full! And I give the previews 5 stars!
Jazz? Singing? Jazz Singing?

I am in that vast minority of people who are going to be candid about McFerrin. This is his first album where he is not completely annoying. He reminds me of that guy in Police Academy who simply makes annoying noises. It is funny for a few moments, but then it becomes maddening, and then it becomes angering. I know that there is a lot of young talent out there. It is too bad that guys like McFerrin make it harder for real talent to surface.

I just saw Bobby in Grand Rapids in April 2013. THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN ! and I've seen hundreds of concerts. Anyone who loves music should put Bobby McFerrin on their "must see" list. Thanks again to Bobby and his band for such an amazing concert event.

My wife and I went to the Disney Concert Hall, and sang with him... it was an amazing concert.

I heard McFerrin perform most of these songs live in Boston. One word: WOW. McFerrin's music always leaves me feeling as though I've heard something otherworldly, but there was something especially poignant about his trademark style applied to gospel music/spirituals. Only McFerrin can make an audience laugh and cry during the same song (see his remix of "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands"), but my favorites were his original pieces, especially "Jesus Makes it Good" and "Rest/Yes Indeed." I continue to be in awe of Bobby McFerrin's incredible originality and artistry. This new album doesn't disappoint.

Just got back from his show in Reno. What an unexpected experience. A beautiful set of songs from a tremendous artist whose music has been a friend of mine for 25 years. I knew the title, but I thought it was his tour. I didn't realize he had a new album coming until tonight. 10 grammies… I think he deserves an 11th.
