These folks are great!

Just saw them at a house concert in Olympia and they are incredible musicians! Three sisters. One plays a guitar with a seventh 3rd cello string doing the bass line, a second plays a mean flute and the third plays a large bandolim (similar to a mandolin) clarinet and piano (and composes). Their father does percussion on what looked like a cross between a tambourine and an Irish hand drum. All play exquisitely, extremely fast, tight and with feeling. Choro music started in the late 1800s in Brazil and is a source for samba. Just lovely stuff. Listen to this, or go see them while they are in the US this summer.
