This is an EP released during a time that many people are trying to deconstruct the hymnal, and Noah James is one who actually knows what he's doing. The American church is at a point in which most of us are taking apart traditions in order to extract the good, respectfully discard that which is out-dated, and apply the good to our journey today in specific, meaningful ways. In the process of deconstructing the hymnal, a lot of (well known) singers are simply plunging it into the mainstream and creating more white noise.
