Reviews

  • A great version of Holst's Plantes

    By G3Chris1
This is much better than the LSO - Sir Colin Davis version. The performance is sharper and paced much better. Even the sound quality is noticeably better. Then as a bonus you get the other non Holst extera tereristial pices that fit in perfectly. I highly recomend this version. The only version I like better is John Eliot Gardiner's.
  • Awesome!

Other than the slight mistake the trumpets made in Mars, this album is fantastic!
  • The best I can find

This has the right tempo. I've played professionally for years and it makes my skin crawl when major orchestras play the Planets too fast. i have this from the Cincinnatti, Cleveland, London and Royale on cd. london ok, Cleveland good, and i really like this recording. It is the best i've heard yet.
