Saint or Sinner

This is a great album. Heaven is thought provoking. A hip hop song with an old time gospel flare. A must buy.

I would like to wholeheartedly thank the Backseat Rider podcast for introducing me to what is now my favorite new album of the year. Saint or Sinner by Sir the Baptist ingeniously blends gospel music influences with real and honest lyrics and hip hop beats. It will take you from stripped down emotional gospel ballads like "Deliver Me" to sweet and saucy songs like "Southern Belle," to ridiculously catchy, feel-good tracks like "Replay," and my personal favorite "Dance With the Devil." Listeners who grew up hearing gospel music, and may no longer be religious, but love the musical style will especially appreciate the clever religious satire in the lyrics along with the musical homage to gospel. Saint or Sinner is a truly unique, brilliantly produced album that is not gospel, not hip-hop, not singer-songwriter, but a genius combination of all of the above.

I usually do not post reviews, but for this album I just have to! You're in for not only a musical treat but a spiritual one as well. When listening to this album be ready to experience a new age revival! Be ready to be awakened! Be ready to dance, pray, cry, laugh, and be renewed! I guarantee you by the end of this album you will feel replenished! Sir The Baptist is a perfect example of not being able to place a label on art and boxing it into one genre. His musicianship is superb. His blending of elements of swing, church, and hip hop creates an electrifying experience. You can listen to this album without skipping a single track. Highlights: Deliver Me, What We Got, Heaven, Good Ole Church Girl, Southern Belle, and God Is On Her Way 🙌🏾!!! This album was/Is food for my entire soul......so refreshing.....like nothing I've ever heard quite put together like this b4.....the mastermind(s) behind it, praises to you🙌🏾 I let my mom hear "Deliver me" she then took OVER my phone and listened to "Southern Belle" & "God Is On Her Way".....it was a wrap after that.....she needed it in her life......THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL BODY OF WORK...btw "Saint or Sinner" is my turn up🤦🏾‍♀️💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💯💯💯
