Usually when an 80s band comes back after many years they are stale and it just goes nowhere or just have one hit. Transcendance sounds fresh! Great vocals by Terri, music production is way fresh and great songwriting. Great sound!

Berlin is back with its 2019 version of electronic music. Terri has never sounded better. The band has found a maturity in its lyrics. And the trademark melodies are here. I Want You, Show Me Tonight snd Transendance kick off the album strong. The re-recorded version of Sex should be in regular rotation on Vegas dance floors. All For Love is a brassy, mature Berlin song. But it’s On My Knees that is the standout track. A chilling song which combines the best elements of Berlin. Beautiful vocals, poignant lyrics work into a wall of sounds with a triumphant finish.

Really liking the sound on this new album. The reunited trio combines with the band to somehow stay true some of their electro-pop roots, but with an updated flavor on many tracks. Show Me Tonight is a great examination of the objectification of women, while being super repeat-listenable. The title track is ultra bassy and pairs interestingly with the lyrics. And maybe most surprising of all is the great new arrangement of their classic, Sex. Really enjoying this new stuff!
So glad they are back!

Incredible to have the original trio back and especially John Crawford’s songwriting skills. On My Knees is just gorgeous. Gave me goosebumps and a reminder of what we all missed out on when this unique band broke up way too early. Terri voice is better than ever as well. Welcome back and I hope this is the beginning of a whole new Berlin era.
