Have listened to Josh for years on yt. He has grown into an accomplished composer and songwriter with a maturity and calmness in his voice that is far beyond his youth.
It is uncommon to hear new music that is outside of typical blues or 4 chord structure that is immediately familiar and comfortable. I cannot remember a time where these songs were not a part of my life’s soundtrack.
Cheers to Josh and keep up the good work!
Feels familiar but new

His youtube channel had me inspired to get back into guitar. Beautiful to see him translate his creative talents into originals. Feels old yet new. A few lines really hit me like a ton of bricks. “Now I’m shopping for groceries and wondering what it’s like to die...”. Great stuff. Can’t wait to hear more!
Like a good friend who came to visit

I like everything about this album. The only way I can describe it is like when a good friend comes to visit after not seeing him or her for a long time and you just pick up as if you were never apart. This album is like that - listening feels like you've been together forever even though you just met.
Outstanding album

Wonderful songs by a very talented musician and songwriter. I’ve already listened to the entire album multiple times, and my current ear worm is “Belle.”
Beautiful!

Joshua Lee Turner is one of the most talented musicians to come along in quite some time.

I just listened to Belle and Like Lightening on YouTube. Belle includes the neatest finger picking riff I've heard since a few Billy Strings songs - not bluesy like Billy, but cooly, happily, melodically, and captivating. Like LIghtning includes a development of acoustic riffs that reminds me of the great acoustic songs on Clapton's There's One in Every Crowd (mid 70s). After that realization, I walked to my Mac to download Like Lightning - only to learn I have to wait until it is released. ----And now for something completely different: listen to Turner's rendition of Bo Diddley's Pretty Thing. Pretty amazing. JVD
