Since I downloaded the whole album, I'm really hooked. Her distinktive voice and lyrics just drew me in. Messy which is big hit, wasn't my favorite at first. But the more I listen to it, it grew on me. " I wish you were dead " is almost Nirvana like ala "Feels like teen spirit " To me it is one of the strongest tracks on the album. "Concited " was the first song I heard from her. I didn't know how to react because it was so strong. Lyrically, she's playfull at times and a lot of fun. I can't wait to hear what she does in the future. I almost want to hear her on a Massive Attack tune. Since her music and her voice are so melodic. Watching her Coachella set on live feed made me a huge fan
All I can say is WOW!

I don't even listen to this type of music often, but I hear the effort and emotion put into it, and it's a great headphones listening album to hear all the details and nuances.

I think Lola Young has a lot of potential. I really like her voice, and I think with a little more time to refine her skills she could make something great.
My only problem is her lyricism, especially in “Messy”, which is her big hit right now. Saying the f word in every line of your chorus doesn’t make your song look edgy, it’s poor lyricism.
Anyways, I think this is an ok album, she just needs to work on a couple things
