Live at the Greek (Live)

I’m quite pleased with how this turned out. It sounds a bit warmer than the original, and to my ear, it seems like the dynamic range is a lot better too. It’s a great experience with headphones. The inclusion of The Black Crowes songs is nice, but I’m especially happy to have Wanton Song, Misty Mountain Hop, Hots On For Nowhere, In The Light, and Bring It On Home included here. The soundcheck tunes also sound great, they have more of a live-in-studio feel than the rest of the album. The final track entitled “jam” is nice and Eddie Harsch really shines there. Overall I think this is a really solid release!

What’s not to love? The Crowes’ tunes from the Greek have been restored, and the Jones Beach show (previous floating around as a bootleg) includes the soundcheck. As someone who was there at Jones Beach (and ranks it in my top 3 shows I’ve ever been to), I couldn’t be happier.

I'm not spending $25 to buy the same thing again...! (Clicks "No Speak No Slave")......(clicks buy). The sad thing about the initial release is that it was almost exclusively the Zeppelin material and blues covers but no Crowes song. It kindled my interest in Zeppelin, which I hadn't really connected with until I heard Chris sing the songs. But...having the Page-ified Crowes songs...yesssssssss.

This is true rock-n-roll!! I’ve had the original album since it was first released, in fact I still have it, and ever since this new expanded version was said to be coming out, I’ve been waiting and waiting, and now here we go!!!🎉 This is how it should have been on the original release!! My two favorites, The Black Crowes and Jimmy Page!! Thanks for the release guys!! I’d really like to see you guys and Jimmy maybe do four or five concerts together again as a great rock-n-roll celebration!! For now I’ll be rockin’ with this release!!🌈🌅🎸🎉
