I love all the Turnpike Troubadours records but this one has a particular nostalgia that feels like Diamonds and Gasoline grew older and wiser ♥️

The Price of Admission has that comforting familiar feeling on what we can expect from turnpike, but has a new sound of its own hidden behind the nostalgia. As always, the lyrics really shine through and immediately feel personal to the listener. Although the harmonica is minimally used, each instrument really gets its moment somewhere within the 11 tracks. As a whole, this album is on the same playing field as Diamonds and Gasoline and A Long Way from Your Heart; no skips.
