  • Where are the "Wild Cowboys"?

I've listened to "Black October" quite a bit and like it. These might not be the best tracks on the full album but if you just want a little taste and don't feel like dropping $10 this is not a bad buy. But iTunes needs to get Sadat's classic "Wild Cowboys." Not for my sake, but for all these chumps that think Lil' Wayne and 50 Cent are what hip hop is about. If you're 16 or under, I apologize...you don't know better.

New York knows how to flip it on 'em. Something fresh from every borough, everytime. Sadat's no exception holdin' down the Bronx like it's fallin' off.

Dam, as a 21 year old white guy I know this cat has been around forever! That voice is un-mistakable, a throwback to the last of the 'real' hip hop, before it was 90% marketing. Could Sadat have brought a fresher sound? Yes, but this isn't supposed to be played on your local clear channel radio station. Like Kool Kieth and others, Sadats sound is his own and he seems happy to keep it that way. Worth a listen if you know SadatX from his earlier work but is most likely a pass for those of you into the urban genres for less than 7 years.

Sadat is a pioneer, these tracks are below his standards. Lemme hear that Primo mixtape!
  • Why leave a comment if you don't know the music? One star?

Not his best but surely not his worst. Ever heard of Brand Nubian people? Hip hop pioneers......Black October is the better of the two IMO but anybody coming on here and giving Sadat just a star needs to burn all their albums cause you don't know where this ish started.....boogie down Bronx. Kids need to recognize!

Who are these idiots who are writing reviews, Sadat X has been doin' his thing for almost 20 years, these tracks are crazy, and any member of J5 would bow down for a member of Brand Nubian. If you don't know anything about Hip Hop please don't write a review.
