    This recording has aged like fine wine. It is 50 years old this year, and the combination of Ormandy and the Philadelphia, along with what was at the time the finest University mixed chorus in the country--the Rutgers University Choir, under F. Austin Walter--and Harsanyi and the recently deceased Harve Presnell, make for a most sublime listening experience. The fidelity has held up very well, and the performance is electric. Compare with the others offered here. This should be your choice.

    This is BY FAR the best recording of Carmina Burana currently in existence. The balance between the chorus, strings, woodwonds, and brass is absolutely impeccable. Nothing even comes close to this recording. BUY IT!
