Cm'on people do I need to spell it out? We're talking Craig here, as in the Godfather of techno? The beauty of someo of the tracks on this album is that they're not your standard techno, however, it's atmospheric, deep, complex, and danceable, it takes you places. Play "Angel," then play it again, louder. Sit back, let it take you places. And then you have tracks like Oscillator and Throw which are dance-music classics, legendary tracks 20 years in the making. Recognize. (but OK, maybe not all tracks are this interesting--I love Chez Damier but the chosen track for this compilation is dull) I guess one advantage of buying the entire track is that you get the mixed set at the end.

I love Carl C. What happened to the rest of the catalogue that ITUNES offered? I was able to get a few but now I see the rest are all gone. What happened and will they be back...

When I was a young lad filled with an urge to get my groove on and dance to quality music I went to a club called Pure. It specialised in Detroit techno and for some reason happened to be in a place called Edinburgh in Scotchland, a town know for it's party enthusiasm. It was a sweaty, dark, dingy club filled with half naked bodies and the music kicked you into oblivion and beyond. Gone were the daily worries and mundane thoughts as we navigated our personal space ships high above the stars. The music penetrated our beings and we felt the dj's every move as they captained our mission through the cosmos. But the groove was really in charge, the dj was the medium. All the greats, Jeff Mills, Derrick May... blah blah blah... This Carl Craig compilation restores my faith in "dance Music" and takes me back to the time when the music mattered. Don't play this if your at a party and want to impress people. Go for a night stroll and listen on the ipod and let in flood all over you, engulf yourself and feel the genius of Carl Craig.
