I'm one those that believes that every song/rhythm have its own scenario. If you are looking for good reggaeton tgat makes you get up and move .., then buy this one. I'm very picky when comes to reggaeton. Knowing Spanish, it is hard to me to really get to like one song because I paid attention to the lyrics. Usually those are full of bad words together with really bad Spanish (and by that I mean grammar, which is very common amongst Puerto Ricans reggaeton singers). In this case, I'm able to listen and enjoy most of the songs included in this CD.

It has some good songs. And Puerto Ricans did have a hand in the creation of Salsa so someone needs to do their homework as for the flag thing we inverted the Cuban Flag thinking a little unity against Spain in the Spanish American War would help us gain our independence. I guess that plan was a bust.:OP Oh, well. And P.R. does throw a little Salsa and other styles of Music when making their Reggaeton as well so the idea that these people are doing something with a little more flare is preposterous. For some people who say they have all just one beat. They need to look a little harder. My take on the Reggaeton thing, is as long as its good who cares who creates it besides, for the most part, we all have a commonality when it comes to Carribean blood.

I first heard Gente de Zona on the Cubaton albums. One thing I have heard from the Cuban reggaeton is that it has a different sound to it. The Puerto Rican reggaeton has all the same beat but the Cubans mix in a little salsa in there. This is a great cd! To the other ppl who posted saying that it sounds all the same is wrong. I would tell the to stop listening to the radio and search for real reggaeton songs over the internet.
BUY THE CD!!!!
great album

I've heard enough Reggaeton from many artists on the radio and it just doesn't get my attention. I did not know what was the rave about these guys and after hearing some of their tracks, it is just the same - boom, da-boom-da-boom. I guess this stuff has NOT DIED out yet because it is so easy to dance to. All you do is "DRY-HUMP" the air, or your dance partner. And if you watch the videos with the SOUND OFF, it LOOKS JUST LIKE A HIP-HOP VIDEO! Not interested in this or anything else like it. I'll stick with the ROOTS and REAL CULTURE of the LATIN AFRO-CARIBBEAN MUSIC.
If you want to waste your money or even if your entertained by this stuff then go ahead and check it out, otherwise MOVE ON and GROW UP!

This CD is awesomeee!!!!!, full of Cuban flavor and contemporary bits. These guys are pretty youngs but genuine in their style, just a glance of the potential of Cuban musicians.
