If this is the 'B-sides'--then we all know why Jon B always brings his 'A' game. This album is fire. This man is touched by God. He has a gift of melody and the ability to create a mesmerizing sound that captures and possesses. Jon B's music embodies that hard task all artists want to achieve as a songwriter: creating something that both bumps in modern times, but feels as if it could have played on the radio 20 years ago or beyond. This album is 23 tracks of that goodness, a slick, beautiful honey-coated mix of funk, smooth R&B--and even some house thrown in to keep you guessing. You can play it when you're relaxing, when you're turning up--or even when working out. 'Just Get On' is a standout, a smooth track that is both 90's chic and post-millennium fresh. Likewise, 'Pure Love' has a beautiful new-soul vibe, a strong, fresh ground brew that wakes you up. And then, just when your ears think you have Jon figured out--he hits you with 'Firestarta', a bouncy track with a Caribbean feel that will have you singing the hook when you're not even aware. Honorable mention goes to the tight 'Watchin' Her' (a light, soulful track that makes you smile) and 'Do What You Know', a song that makes you want to get up and move. Jon, bless him, has been a consistent artist in a time when following the latest musical trends is the 'norm' for most artists--but their results, though met with mainstream success, fall flat when gauged against the test of time. They don't stand up to the test of being 'go-to' tunes over and over for years to come. Jon's do--and he does it seemingly with ease. Hard work never sounded so effortlessly good. Godspeed, sir. I've adored your work since 'Someone to Love'. Grooved to 'Cool Relax'. Rocked to you with Jack Herrera, watched in shock when peeps slept on 'Pleasures U Like'. Couldn't believe 'Stronger Everyday/Everyday Struggles' didn't blow the hell up, kept my hope and faith in artists still being able to make GOOD music when I listened to 'Comfortable Swagg' and 'Helpless Romantic'. This is another gem for the collection. DON'T STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING. We NEED you. Those of us who aren't fooled by the smoke and mirrors in the music industry need you to keep doing what you do so we have the ability to support good music. God bless you, and keep letting God speak through your creativity.

I am a fan no matter!!! I love the way all his albums differ and he is able to bring a different side of himself. That to me says he is a true artist of music. Always wondered why he never got any airplay on the radio here!!!! This album is again something different and something new that you can swing your head too… I never get tired of this man… “Hail Jon B"

I really like this, it is different in a good way. Something for everyone, to dance, step, and chill to. Jon b. is under rated. Keep up the good work!

What happened to traditional R&B? I am so tired of the majority of R&B artists out there selling out to the over-produced, rave music garbage that is saturating the mainstream radio. Jon B, you FAILED!

All of the songs were on point, the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was the recording quality of some of the tracks was a little fuzzy sounding.... all that aside the songs were good.

While other artist's styles seem to change to match what's on the radio Jon B. has remained true to himself and his original style. This album has a new sound but is still distinctively Jon B. I can't wait for the next album.
  • Yes Jon! Yes!!!

I was highly disappointed with Comfortable Swagg. My fav track off that joint was Only One. I literally gave Jon the side eye on that CD <_<. However, Jon came back strong on this one. This is a press play and let it ride type collection.

I have been listening to Jon B for a really long time, I know he can do a lot better than this even for a b side album, not the same quality of what I am use to from him AT ALL!!! 3 songs on the album tops r ok, gonna hope and pray for something better really soon. After all this time and people singing praises, I know someone will be honest enough to say this album was terrible besides me. I am still and always be a Jon B fan, but this album was awful!!!!
