Joe Alessi is amazing. I have never heard better tone quality. He is definetely the trombone god of the world. His technique is also amzing. Blue Bells of Scotland is amazing. This album should always be in any trombonist's musical library.

This is an excellent album. I am on a constant search for great trombone music and this definitely exceeds expectations. I especially like Blue Bells of Scotland (I've been trying to play it but my range is not high or low enough yet... oh well) and Bolivar. The T-Bone Concerto is also excellent.

This is the best alessi recording Iv'e ever heard!!!!!

I actually had the oppertunity to meet him, not in person, but he taught a group of amature student trombone players, and I was one of them. He sounded as amazing in person as he does in these CD's. Blue Bells of Scotland have to be my favorite. If you're questioning buying this, trust me, every cent you pay is worth it a thousand times over. Amazing!!

Excellent selection of music and performance! If you are a trombone fan, you've got to buy this album. I've been working on Blue Bells for years, and this recording puts all other trombone performers to shame.

Don't get me wrong, I love Christian Lindberg, but Alessi's recording of the Johann de Meij T-Bone Concerto is the best recording available at this time. Mr. Alessi's sound is beautiful, full, and consistent through all registers of the horn. One can learn alot about phrasing, articulation, and tone quality through this and other fine recordings of Mr. Alessi.

Just searching through some Pryor things, and I fell upon this. Seeing Blue Bells, Polka, and Love's Enchantment I was sold. Neat album. Must have for any serious classical trombone soloists.

JOseph Alessi strikes again with another stunning performance! His virtuosity and musicality work hand in hand in this CD to showcase the best the trombone world has to offer. Whenever I think he has showcased his best work, I am constantly proved wrong. I would recommend this CD to any musician or music enthusiast. Joseph Alessi surpasses any stereotypes or preconceptions of what the trombone "should" sound like, and showcases what the trombone CAN sound like.
