  • Love the soundtrack, but scratchy recording

It's as though this were recorded to digital from a dusty vinyl original. Now if it sounded exactly like my old vinyl album, with the scratchiness (and pops) in all the familiar places, I might not mind so much. You can almost feel the needle in the groove of the record swaying back and forth and up and down as the vinyl is turned on the turn-table; a vinyl disc that might not be quite as flat as it should be, too long left out in the hot sun. I love the soundtrack to this movie (which owes a lot to Gershwin's Cuban Overature). I even love the movie which is a romanticized rendering of T.E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom. But who ever is responsible for making a recording of this recording needs to rethink the source recording. Yeahhhh, for 6 bucks I might buy it anyway, even though I once paid $2 for the original vinyl--NEW.
