Evidentlly, the last person to review this album was born in a barn and completely failed to appreciate the sophisticated sound of Prasanna. This is an excellent album and Prasanna is a phenominal guitarist. An appreciation for jazz isn't even necessary to enjoy this music. The sheer creativity and novelty of hearing music typical of a citar played on a six string guitar, along with the exellent musicians that appear on this album, is enough to entertain anyone who knows anything about music.
  • Indian guitar phenom, Prasanna, delivers again!

Considered by many musicians and listeners around the world to be one of the planet's most explosive and extraordinary guitarists, Prasanna give us another view of his talent on this aptly named cd. Utilizing less of the Indian Classical Carnatic compositional style that he featured in "Peaceful" (2001), he soars above the hot grooves of legendary bassists Alphonso Johnson and Victor Wooten and super-tight drummers Ralph Humphrey and Derico Watson to the delight of anyone who laments the absence of The Mahavishnu Orchestra and Weather Report from today's music scene. I can do without "Ragabop", but absolutley love the rest! This music will rock you, move you and groove you with it's infectious virtuosity and meaningful lyrics ("Satyam"). Can't wait for his latest, "Electric Ganesha Land" (April 2006) to be available on iTunes.
