If I was asked to visually describe this album, I'd say that is album is literally a massive lumbering juggernaut that has nothing on its mind except for total destruction. This album is a serious exercise in bone-shattering brutality! Highly recommended!
  • Definitely an album worth picking up.......

Machine Head has never been this raw. Despite having released 7 albums, nothing they have put out is quite as raw as their debut. Every track just explodes with energy and anger; there are no fillers, and every song flows into the next flawlessly. If you want to start getting into Machine Head, start here. If you like it, keep going; there's no bad albums in these guy's discography.

Probably the best breakdown in the history of heavy metal takes place at the end of "Davidian". They don't make a stereo system loud enough!

I'm not sure if this review is a slap in the face to his "ex bandmates", but I think Vio-lence is/was a waaaaaay better band.

i just had to drop by and say ive seen MH 14 times including a vid shoot(ten ton hammer) and record relase party in downtown Sactown beatdown(burning red). they just absolutely kill live period. ive briefly talked to Robb an have had the pleasure to be on stage w him at the shoot when they played it like six times. regardless...if you claim to love metal and dont know this album...be ashamed then buy it and feel better kids...real eyes realise real lies.............
